Pittsfield Historical Society still maintains the MEC depot in town and you can get a feel of railroading of the past from it and the caboose they have on site. The caboose is complete with even the bunks for the off duty crew that many long distance trains carried. You will find it at 114 Central St, Pittsfield, ME 04967, 44°46'56.9"N 69°22'60.0"W.
